VOLUNTARY PRE-KINDERGARTEN
FREE VPK is available to all Florida four-year-olds and five-year olds.
AGE REQUIREMENTS
Your child must be four years of age on or before September 1st of the school year in which they will attend VPK. If your child’s 4th birthday falls between February 2nd and September 1st in a calendar year, you may choose to post-pone enrolling your child in VPK that year and wait until the following year when your child is 5 years old.
SCHOOL YEAR OR SUMMER
The program is for families to participate in the 540 instructional hour school year program.
PREPARE FOR KINDERGARTEN
The Florida VPK program provides developmentally appropriate instruction and activities to prepare your child for Kindergarten.
HOW TO REGISTER
Register through the Florida’s Early Learning Family Portal. You will need your child’s original birth certificate, your (legal guardian’s) ID, as well as your proof of Florida residence.
